The Beginning

In 2015, at 22 years old, Ray Bolden felt like life was passing him by. He had countless ideas, ambition, and a vision—but for a long time, he was living with one foot in and one foot out. Afraid to fully commit, he hesitated, unsure of what would happen if he gave everything to a dream and it didn’t work.

That feeling became impossible to ignore. Bolden realized that staying undecided was costing him more than risking failure ever could. He made the choice to stop hesitating, trust himself, and go all in.

Commitment Changed Everything

At first, not every idea worked. He failed countless times. But once his mindset shifted, failure no longer held him down. Each setback became a lesson, and he learned to get back up stronger every time.

Bolden discovered that the only way to truly grow, succeed, and persevere was through commitment. Standing firm when things got uncomfortable. Showing up even when doubt was loud. Staying ten toes down.

As the brand evolved, Bolden partnered with longtime businessman and mentor Lester Branch. With decades of experience, Branch helped sharpen the vision, expand opportunities, and position Ten Toes Down as more than apparel—turning it into a platform for impact.
